Giving Color to Women’s History

Giving Color to Women’s History

Professor Bill Higley and gradudate student Chelsea Huizing review chapters 1-2 and 10-12 of Sacred Friendships on the Sacred Friendships Blog Tour.

To visit Bill’s excellent and informative site and to read their review, you can go here: http://bit.ly/124G6n

Here’s a sampler, a taste, of what they had to say about Sacred Friendships:

“At the end of each description, you feel as though you have sat down and read a letter from the life of each woman; there is no disguising of words, no mincing of emotions. Many sources are used to give color to the stories, both facts from history books and quotes from personal letters; they serve to paint ever clearer pictures of how these women lived, loved and ministered within their friendships and companionships.”

Josh Young Reviews Sacred Friendships

As week three of the Sacred Friendships Blog Tour launches, we start with Josh Young over at Ad Augusta Per Angusta (To High Places by Narrow Roads) posting a complete review of Sacred Friendships.

Please be sure to visit Josh’s site at: http://salvationsogreat.blogspot.com/

You can also follow Josh on Twitter at: http://twitter.com/joshuabyoung

Here’s a sneak peak at some of what Josh has to say about Sacred Friendships:

“The noble task of giving back a voice is the heart and soul of Dr. Bob Kellemen and Susan Ellis’ new book Sacred Friendships. Their work has over 50 stories of historical women of the faith, who practiced the art of counseling both the suffering and the sinning in ways that are still echoing through the annals of time. Sacred Friendships does more than simply teach on the role of women in historical counseling, it also helps us train our ears to hear the beautiful narratives of brave souls and learn from their ministries of grace and truth.”

A Voice for the Voiceless:
Radio Interview on Sacred Friendships

Listen to Aaron Taylor at “Deep Thoughts with Aaron Taylor” as he interviews me about Sacred Friendships and various views of women in ministry. http://bit.ly/42vzcC

Here’s what Aaron says about the interivew:
Listen to my fascinating interview with author Robert Kellemen on his new book celebrating the women heroes of the faith. Kellemen served for more than a decade as the founding Chairman of the Master of Arts in Christian Counseling and Discipleship Department at Capital Bible Seminary in Lanham, Maryland. He is now Professor-at-Large in that department. In his new book, Kellemen gives a panorama of Christian history celebrating the forgotten female heroes. In this, he gives a stunning blow to a patriarchal view of history.
